Where I Went Wrong With My Fantasy Football Team

My Dad once said "No one cares about your fantasy team but you." But this is my blog, so deal with it! In this article I will be going over the fantasy players I got wrong during the season.
One of those players was Mark Ingram. I thought he would continue his success from 2019. It turned out to be wrong. The Ravens have used JK Dobbins more than Ingram. Plus when Ingram has had his chance to pull off a big run, he has unfortunately disappointed. So yeah I really wished I had taken someone else with the pick. But hey, I at least picked up JK Dobbins ... so at least that's good.
Another player I took who I thought would do much better is Julio Jones. Yes, he has been good, but not good enough to be taken in an early round. He has been inconsistent and injured a lot this season. There are some weeks in fantasy where he scores 22 points one week and then 5 points the next week. Also doesn't help me that Matt Ryan hates to throw to him and loves to throw to Calvin Ridley who is on my Dad's team. So NOT HELPFUL MATTY ICE. But honestly if I took Julio in a later round, he would be worth this. Not in the early rounds.
Logan Thomas was another player that I got wrong. He has been a great fantasy player, which I didn't expect. I picked him up in the last round of the draft and he has been a great asset. I think a lot of this has to do with Mr. Checkdown in Alex Smith who loves to throw to his tight ends. He has gotten me a lot of fantasy points thanks to him fight for yardage and for completing some passes. Yes he was a QB in college, so that helps on the trick plays.
Christian McCaffrey was yet another player that I got wrong. I thought he would go toe to toe with Derick Henry for the best running back in the league. Instead his season has been a big disappointment. Its not just his injuries, its the fact that he wants to come back and the coach won't let him. That is his season in a nutshell. As a result it could cost my Dad a chance at the fantasy football championship game. But I'm not complaining because he is against me. Sorry, not sorry.
David Johnson has been a disappointment for the 12 people that picked him. He hasn't been terrible but he is a terrible fit for this team. The Texans don't need a running back, they really need a number 1 wide receiver. I just don't know where you could find one. Well at least the Texans have Watson and Watt.
Saquon Barkley has been shocking to those who picked him first or second overall. I figured that he would be a 1,000 yard back this season. Safe to say I was horribly wrong. Before his injury he was doing fine. After it nothing has gone right. You know its bad when you need 4 points to win and you have Saquon left and he gets 1 yard and you lose by 3. THANKS FOR THAT SAQUON.
Another player who I was surprised about is Justin Jefferson. I knew he would be good, which is why I told my dad to draft him in his work league, but not this good in first year. He has been the perfect replacement for Stephon Diggs and has helped the Vikings stay competitive. In terms of fantasy, he has helped me and my Dad make our fantasy football playoffs. He has a lot of fantasy points and I would pick him early next year.
One of the final players that I got wrong is Justin Herbert. I thought Tyrod Taylor would do well this season so Herbert wouldn't start a game this season. Oh how wrong I was. The six Chargers fans were a bit nervous when hey picked him seventh overall in last years draft, but now they are not. He is going to be the face of the offense and has been a fantasy monster. He is the only reason that my Dad is in the championship of a fantasy league we are in, because his team is bad.
The final player I got wrong was perhaps the biggest one. No its not Le'Veon Bell the man who ruined my fantasy football team 2 years ago. THANKS FOR THAT. No the real answer is Drew Brees. Well this is shocking to see but if you look at the numbers it isn't that shocking. The Saints are good but most of it has to do with Alvin Kamara playing out of his mind. The problem this year with Brees is that he can't throw deep. So because of that he isn't that good for fantasy. Sorry Saint Fans but you know what can save you... A MIRACLE.
