The Super Bowl

We have made it to the Super Bowl that everyone wanted… if you’re a Chiefs or Eagles fan. If you’re a fan of any other NFL team, you probably wanted a Bills vs. Commanders matchup. Unfortunately, we can’t always get what we want, so while most of you are trying to figure out which team to root for, I’ll tell you who to pick in your family pools.

Let's start with the back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs. I could just copy and paste what I said last year: great defense with an inconsistent offense. However, the offense has found that second gear in the playoffs, just like everyone expected. Plus, there are some new faces on that side of the ball looking for their first Super Bowl, including DeAndre Hopkins, Kareem Hunt, Hollywood Brown, and Xavier Worthy (when will the Bills learn not to trade with the Chiefs?). Yes, I know Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are still the main components of this offense, but I don’t want to bore my readers with things a toddler could figure out. So instead, I'll just leave you with the following statement: they are inevitable.

Now, onto the Eagles. First of all, the Giants are the real villains of the NFL. They gave the Eagles Saquan Barkley, and now they are nearly unstoppable.  A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert have been great weapons for Jalen Hurts, and that offensive line is better than ever, even without Jason Kelce. I will not speak about Jahan Dotson because he has been useless and isn’t that good(also because I’m still bitter about him being traded on my birthday). The defense is better than last year, with Jalen Carter and company destroying opposing offenses.  But no matter what, it will all come down to Jalen Hurts and how he plays. If he plays well, then they will win, but if he struggles, then good luck!

Now for a score prediction. I think they both should lose… but since that isn’t an option, I’ll go Eagles 30, Chiefs 28, and then hide in my bunker because Eagles fans will destroy everything in celebration.  Maybe picking against the Chiefs will work this time.
