The Caps started strong and I thought, “hey maybe…”

But then they couldn’t stop Carter Verhaeghe

The Panthers advanced, and all was holy

Too bad now they’re playing a team with a goalie

New York beat the Penguins in seven games

But Pittsburgh stinks, unlike the Canes

There’s no possible combination of bigger whiners

Than Rangers fans and Carolina

The last Battle of Alberta was in ‘91

After seven games of brawls, the Oilers won

Expect McDavid to burn the Flames a lot

But that won’t matter — Mike Smith can’t stop a shot

Finally, Colorado takes on the Blues

Everyone thinks St. Louis will lose

The Blues might have won the Cup in 2019

But the Avs are the best team they’ve ever seen

To most teams left I wish you luck
