Its time for the best part of the NHL season! So let's get to some predictions.
Bruins vs Hurricanes: No Goalie Series
The Hurricanes have gone from a nine-year playoff drought to four straight postseason appearances while the Bruins are the Bruins. The problem for both of these teams is that none of them have trustable playoff goalies. For that reason I'm going to predict a series sweep for the Hurricanes.
Hurricanes 4-0
Lightning vs Maple Leafs Battle of the Boston Haters
The Toronto Maple Leafs have a lot riding on these playoffs. They must win a series or else they are going to look mighty different next year. The Lightning are going for a three peat but have looked really tired as of late. I would love to see the Leafs win... oh wait no I wouldn't! Besides we know this by now, the Leafs are going to lose in seven games.
Lightning 4-3
Blues vs Wild Battle of the Goalies Everyone Forgot About
The Minnesota Wild and the St. Louis Blues were two of the best teams in the NHL down the stretch of the regular season. The Wild are one of the most exciting teams to watch and the Blues have found another hot goalie in Ville Husso while Jordan Binnington has struggled. The Wild have Marc Andre Fleury or Cam Talbot so I am going to pick them to win but in six.
Wild 4-2
Kings vs Oilers Battle of the Wayne Gretzky Trade
Both teams desperately want to overcome their recent disappointments. This opening-round series will have the offensive talent of the Oilers against the Kings defensive perseverance. I will pick the Oilers because the Kings can't contain McDavid
Oilers 4-2
Penguins vs Rangers The Battle of the Crybabies
Let's be real here the Penguins are bad. They look old and slow while the Rangers look fast. Im waiting to see Ryan Reaves take out Sidney Crosby and have Rangers fans ask what the problem is, only to have Kris Letang take out Artemi Panarin and have those same fans complain on every social media network. The Rangers will win but complain about it because its unfair that their players get hit.
Rangers 4-3
Caps vs Panthers No Experience vs Experience
The Caps have all the experience while the Panthers have no real playoff experience. The Panthers have not won a playoff series since 1996. The Capitals haven't won a series since their Stanley Cup in 2018. If the Caps win game one then they will put fear in the Panthers. The Caps will find a way to win this series
Caps 4-1
Predators vs Avalanche Battle of the Struggling
1 Both the Avalanche and Predators were bad down the stretch
2 The Predators are unlikely to have Juuse Saros at full strength or at all
3 Avalanche are better
Avalanche 4-1
Stars vs Flames Battle of the Unexpected
1 Stars are 12-6 straight up in its last 18 games against Flames.
2 Flames are 10-4 straight up in its last 14 games.
3 Flames are 2-1 against Dallas this season
4 Flames are better but Stars have the experience
Stars 4-2
