March Madness

It's that time of year again -- it's March Madness! I'm here to give my two cents on my locks and upsets for this years tournament.
Lets start with my first obvious lock: Duke. Coach K will definitely have his team ready to ... oh, wait, they're not in the tournament? The rest of America may now cheer in unison.
Ok now lets actually start this. Quick disclaimer -- I'm not talking about No. 1 seeds because that is boring. No. 2 seeds lose early more often. Will that be the case this year? Read on.
West
Lock: Iowa. Iowa is an interesting team to look at. While they don't have the most convincing wins to be a lock, they split with Ohio State and beat Wisconsin three times to go along with beating Purdue by 15, Maryland by 22 and North Carolina by 13. All of those wins are against teams that are in the tournament. So they will for sure make it out of the first weekend.
Upsets: Ohio and VCU: While these two teams aren't well known they will probaly upset Virginia and Oregon respectably. Here's why... Virginia doesn't have the best offense and may not even be in the tournament all together. Oregon doesn't have the offense to stop VCU defense. Plus VCU didn't lose to its little brother. (Apologies to any Oregon State fans for that "little brother" joke).
South
Lock: Ohio State: They may have had a slide to end there season but making it to the B1G Ten championship game shouldn't be overlooked. They have the talent and offense to make a run -- just hope their defense doesn't collapse.
Upset: None. This side of the bracket seems simple besides the 8 vs 9 game so this part of the bracket will be boring.
Midwest
Lock: Houston: They will 100% make it through the first weekend. They are one of the best scoring teams in the nation and can score a lot on second chance points. So they are for sure a lock and won't be the victim of a first-round upset that happens to No. 2 seeds every now and then..
Upset: Liberty: Yes they can and probaly will upset Oklahoma State. A couple of years ago they upset Mississippi State and you bet that they can upset a team again. They don't have the most impressive wins but they are a tough draw and will be hard to beat.
East
Locks: None: I know what you're thinking... How? I believe that this is the toughest part of the bracket and any team can make it to the final 4. This part of the bracket is most likely to have a 16 beat a 1 (not likely but if it happens its in this region. But since Virginia isn't a No. 1 seed it probably won't).
Upset: Georgetown and Maryland. These are the upsets that I can see happening. For Maryland it's simple, if their shots fall, they win. No this is not a cop out -- this is the only way they win. If Maryland gets hot they will go far. Georgetown will need to continue there recent success. They will need to continue to beat teams by crashing the boards.
One more piece of advise for everyone who has not filled out their bracket, make sure your team isn't losing anyone to the virus. Also don't blame if you don't win your pool, just be happy Duke won't win again.
