How Sweet March Madness has been -- except for the Terps

Its been one crazy weekend and as a Maryland fan I can safely say this weekend can be summed up in two words... FIRE TURGEON. Anyway here are the 5 most memorable moments from the first weekend. This is not in a specific order.

1:Oral Roberts: Who in their mind thought this would happen? Safe to say no one did. Oral Roberts has shocked the world by making it out of the first weekend. They found a way to beat Ohio State and Florida. Good Job Oral Roberts, Now go and get to the Final Four.

2: Purdue: As Bobby Knight would say I'm tired of losing to Purdue. Well, he used some other words in that tirade but I'm not allowed to say or type them. This year we can just laugh at Purdue for losing to North Texas. They were awful, and to make it even worse my Dad had them going to the Final Four so now he is complaining. But hey as my sister says... he can take pride knowing that his team didn't lose to a school called Oral Roberts.

3: The Big Ten Teams doing awful: The Big Ten might want to forget about this tournament. They have one out of nine teams left in the tournament. Some of them got destroyed while others lost a tight game. But still the fact that there teams have done this bad is awful. You have Michigan and that's it. Illinois lost to a 98 year old nun, Wisconsin lost to a Bear, Iowa lost to a Duck while OHIO STATE lost to ORAL ROBERTS. So enjoy watching Michigan lose soon.

4: The Loyola Nun Returns: Sister Jean is back at it again. While most of the team from 2018 is gone, they still somehow find a way to upset teams. This year they decided to ruin my sister's bracket by beating Illinois. This team somehow finds a way to continue to shock the world and go far in the tournament.

5: Maryland shows the world how to NOT PLAY DEFENSE against Alabama: That game was just embarrassing. How many threes did Alabama make before Mark Turgeon "adjusted his defense". Maryland let Alabama shoot all game. Still I have one question for Turgeon... If you are up 5 at the 10 minute mark of the first half then WHY ARE YOU PUTTING A WALK ON IN? No offense to Reese Mona but how is that smart? The Terps have zero five star recruits and they just displayed to teams how to play "defense" against Bama.
