Dwayne Haskins was recently cut by The Washington Football Team. Two years ago he was thought of as the savior of this team. Now, well, he needs to find another team. The question is what happened to him? This will sorta be a opinion article at the end. But it will mostly be his short timeline of him on the Football Team.

2019 season

April 15, 2019

Haskins was selected 15th overall in the 2019 NFL draft by the Washington Football Team. At the time I thought it was a great pick. We got our QB of the future. Even better, the Giants picked a terrible QB in Daniel Jones, who wasn't even suppose to be selected till the third round. I think a lot of Football Team fans wanted his jersey.

August 25, 2019

Haskins wasn't named the starter immediately. Head Coach Jay Gruden really preferred the veteran Case Keenum, who the team traded for in March. Haskins would be named the second string quarterback before the week 1 game.

September 29, 2019

Keenum was the starter for the first four weeks before being benched in favor of Haskins. Haskins was thrown into the fire and safe to say he wasn't ready at all. He would go 9-of-17 for 107 yards and throw three interceptions in the 24-3 loss. Shortly after the game it was announced that Keenum would remain the starter.

October 24, 2019

Haskins wouldn't get another shot until, a Thursday night matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, Haskins again took over for Keenum after he exited the game with an injury. He completed 3-of-5 passes for 60 yards and an interception off the bench. Keenum's injury would mark he beginning of Haskins' time as the starter.

November 3, 2019

Haskins would make his first career start against the Buffalo Bills in week 9. He didn't have a great game as he threw for 144 yards and was sacked four times in a 24-9 loss.

November 24, 2019

Haskins would pick up his first career NFL win against the Lions. But it wasn't pretty, as he didn't throw a touchdown in the 19-16 win. He also was judged as he took a selfie with fans before the game was over.

December 15 and December 22, 2019

In his final two starts of the season, Haskins puts together most complete games of the years . In a close loss to the Eagles, Haskins threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Before leaving the game against the Giants with an injury, Haskins threw two more touchdowns while looking better in the offense.

Offseason

In the offseason Ron Rivera was hired as the Football Teams head coach. But in those coming months Rivera said that he would give Haskins every chance to be the starter but nothing is guaranteed.

2020 season

September 13, 2020

The Football Team opened up the season with a 27-17 comeback win over the Eagles. While Haskins played descent, it was the defense that did most of the damage.

Rest of his season

Haskins play over the next 3 games was terrible. He went 72 of 115 passing with 761 yards, three touchdowns, and five turnovers. After a double-digit loss to the Ravens, Haskins gloated about his stats. If you are a so-called leader then why in the world are you gloating about your stats. You should be rallying the team, not causing arguments in the locker room. At that point I realized something: Dwayne Haskins is a jerk.

Shortly after that he was benched and named 3rd string quarterback before getting back onto the field because of injuries. His final 2 starts on the team were bad. I would put up the stats but that would just be insult to injury if you get what I mean.

So now we get to the opinion part of this article. HASKINS HAS BEEN TERRIBLE. He is not a leader, he is a terrible decision maker and he is a terrible fit on this team. If I am relegated to third string I'M NOT BREAKING CODVID PROTOCALS. I mean that is just stupid. He was released but he will get a job somewhere... most likely the Jaguars. So he will head from a descent situation to a horrible situation. GOOD LUCK HASKINS... YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT.
